Trans-Atlantic Crossing - Saturday, Apr. 18, 2009

At 3:30am, Super Shuttle already show up and picked us to DFW Airport. Delta Airline was on time to Atlanta, GA at 08:53 am. Due to Delta changed the gate, we (about 15 passengers) were late for our connection and missed the flight. We supposed to take next fly at 11:30am. But this flight has been canceled after waiting for two hours because of mechanical problem. Everybody was frustrated about missing their cruises at 5:00pm. We contacted Princess Cruises who will hold the ship for us. At 2:30pm we finally got on the another plane and arrived Ft Lauderdale, FL at 4:30pm. After Claimed the baggages, the bus of Princess Cruises took us to the Port Everglades ASAP with a quick check in through custom. When we got on board the ship, the time already passed 5:00pm. The people of whole ship were waiting for us.
What kind of the vacation was, seemed we were running from the war to catch the boat! But when we found out our stateroom has a beautify view balcony, then, everything was worth! Although we missed a lot of fun activities such as Sailaway Party and Tour of the brand new Ruby Princess.
At 5:48pm Ruby Princess slipped her moorings and thrust slowly off her berth and set her course to the north east across the Atlantic.
