Snow In Dallas

Winter Has Arrived-Snow In Dallas.
A cold front left North Texas feeling a bit like the North Pole this Christmas Eve.
I hadn't realized by afternoon that more snow had fallen. The ground was now white in my yard and had stuck instead of melting. I am so happy we got our snow. The 3 inches recorded Thursday at Dallas was measurable Christmas Eve snowfall since 1898. It was in the mid 70s on Wednesday.

At Sea - 09/27/09 to 09/28/09

Our ship's name is Ryndam, one of Holland America Line's 14 ships. She is about 15 years old, but the stateroom is quite big and comfortable. The foods service of the Buffet is big different from Prince Cruise Line which we took last cruise. So I am very dispointed and not ead that much like before. On otherside, that is good for my diet. But the dinner in the Dining Room, I feel absolutely fabulous for their service.

Vancouver, BC, Canada 09/25/09

The day before the cruise trip, we flew to Vancouver and stayed with our long time friend for overnight. We had a dinner in a Thai resturant with his family. Next day we started our 23 days cruise jounery from Vancouver to Tampa, Fl.

First-time quiltmaking

After the crochet, I am now learning to quilt. I just finished two simple quilts which will donate to the children who need it. A quilt is quite simply three layers of cloth which have been sandwiched together and secured by yarn ties or simple stitches. I found a lot of fun to do it.

New Cowboy Stadium

On September 09, 2009, we had a chance to visit New Cowboy Stadium before 100,000-plus fans who will pack the newest, fanciest and priciest stadium in the NFL when the Cowboys face the New York Giants on Sunday - September 20, 2009.

Summer in Dallas

Texas as dry as toast. It was not fun to visit the historic downtown Grapevine and botanical garden in the hot summer, 105-degree temperature. But we enjoyed our delicious lunch in a nice and cool resturant.
Tour of the American Airline Center and Dallas Farmer Market both were nice places to visit.
