Highland Village policemen

I would like to say thank you to all Highland Village policemen as they really do their duty and take good care of this community.

When we came back from California on 05/20/08, we wondered why a telephone book was lay on outside of our side back door instead of front door. Finally we found a notes from a police which states he moved the phone book for us since we had filed a vacation watch and he did not want anyone know we were not at home.

And tonight, after we took a walk and left the front door and windows open for some fresh air about 10 mins, two policemen came to the door and make sure if we are fine.

Congratulations on Graduating

Dear Jenny,
We couldn't be happier and prouder!
You’ve worked hard and scaled a new height!
It’s a proud moment!
We know you can reach even higher and achieve all the success!
You so deserve!
We believe you can fly!
The sky is your limit…….
Spread out your wings and soar high!

2008 Sichuan earthquake

The 2008 Sichuan earthquake Official figures (as of May 21, 12:00 CST) state that 41,353 are confirmed dead, including 40,854 in Sichuan province, and 274,683 injured. The Chinese government warned that the death toll could reach 50,000. Tens of thousands are missing, approximately 14,000 of them buried, and eight provinces were affected. The earthquake left about 4.8 million people homeless. It was the deadliest and strongest earthquake to hit China since the 1976 Tangshan earthquake, which killed over 240,000 people.
It was so sad to hear about all bad news, I wish I can go to help them.

Asian Heritage Festival

Today we went to see ASIAFEST '08, the 5th Annual Plano Asian Heritage Festival Celebrating Asian American Heritage Foundation, a non-profit all-volunteer organization. Activities include lessons in Origami, the art of Japanese paper cutting. Also highlighted are live music and dance performances on the stage near the gazebo in the park. This year, the Chinese Cultural Center of Garland performed the Chinese Lion Dance and provide a demonstration of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu martial arts.
